Q: I have an injury in my shoulder that is affecting my bench press. What should I do?
A: You may have an overuse injury from incorrect form or performing the same routine for an extended period of time. I suggest changing your routine on a regular basis. Change from barbell bench press to dumbbells and pull elbows closer into the body. This change will allow you to avoid the injury and lead to better gains. Good Luck!!!

Q: I hate my mid section. Can’t I just work on my abs for 30 minutes?
A: You can certainly focus on your abs when you exercise, however, we can’t really “spot” train. Increasing your time on cardiovascular work to burn calories, a total body strength routine to increase your metabolism, and healthy eating habits are a huge part in slimming down and toning, not only your abs, but your entire body. Don’t forget that genetics plays a big part in your body composition as well.
